When the crackdown of several sexual harassment accusations in Hollywood surged through the media, Ellen Page was one of many women who accused Hollywood producer, Brett Ratner, of sexual harassment in late 2017. The actress accused Brett Ratner of “homophobic and abusive behavior”, alleging that he encouraged another woman to have sex with her, saying: “You should sleep with her to make her realize she’s gay” during the making of the film, X-Men: The Last Stand. Ellen Page said that at the time she was not ready to come out and that made her uncomfortable. This is no longer the case regarding her sexuality as she came out s gay in 2014 and has been a vocal advocate for LGBT+ rights.
