2. The Biggest Gun of World War II – The Gustav Gun

Developed in the late 1930s, specially designed for the purpose of destroying the French Maginot Line, the Gustav Gun was the largest gun of World War II. It weighed nearly 1350 tonnes. It was mainly designed for the preparation of Battle of France but due to unavailability of adequate locomotion facilities, it couldn’t be used during any of the important battles. Later, Gustav was destroyed by the Germans to avoid the capture by the Soviets.
